Starting From Scratch

Unfortunately, something really awful happened yesterday.

The computer I’d been using to constuct my alpha build, as well as the external hard drive I’d been using for back up, were both subject to a power surge yesterday and all of the data on both my computer and storage drive has been corrupted.

It’s gone. All of it. All my progress. Unsavable.

Luckily, all of the game design documents were also stored via the cloud, so I do have those to buld off of, but I’m very disenhartened by this development and I need to take a small break from this project.

I was also genuinely struggling with Godot as an engine and mainly, having a lot of trouble understanding the tutorials I could find for it. And now, with all of my work gone, I’m thinking about shopping around for a different engine with better resourses that I understand better.

But, I’m going to try to take a break and reassess my project and it’s goals as it stands now.

…. I’m also going to get TWO back up drives set up instead of just one, as well.
